| Assalaamu Alaykum Wa Rahmatullahi Wa Barakatu Who Are Ahl us-Sunnah wal-Jamaa'ah?
They are those who hold on to the Sunnah of the Messenger (صلى الله عليه وسلم), the ones who unite themselves upon that and they are the Companions of the Messenger (صلى الله عليه وسلم), the Scholars of Guidance, who follow the Companions and whoever travels upon their path in terms of belief, speech and action until the Day of Judgement, while remaining steadfast upon this adherence. They avoid innovating and innovations in whatever place or age/era they may be. They are the ones who will remain uppermost, aided (by Allaah) until the Day of Judgement.
So Ahl us-Sunnah wal-Jamaa'ah have been described with sticking to the Sunnah and [in all circumstances] avoiding/disregarding the invented matters and innovations in the Deen (religion).
By the word Jamaa'ah the totality of Muslims is not meant, nor those who are largest in number or the great majority. This is because the Messenger (صلى الله عليه وسلم) mentioned that the Taa'ifat ul-Mansoorah is a single group from among the seventy three groups. |

Ash Shaykh Saalih al Fawzaan, may Allaah preserve him, was asked:
There is a person who prohibits(the people from) over sleeping in Ramaadan and says" it is upon a Muslim to be awake and active, it is not appropriate that he over sleeps". So what is your opinion Oh noble Shaykh?

The gates of the heavens have been opened, the doors of Hellfire closed and our accursed enemy, the Shayateen, are locked up. Ramadhaan is upon us, the blessed month of mercy, forgiveness and compassion.

None of us can escape not saying a few misplaced words during Ramadhan. It is from the Mercy of Allah Subhanna wa Ta'alal that He prescribed on us Zakat al-Fitr to get rid of the bad effect of vain talks and useless speeches in Ramadhan, as well as to feed the needy on the day of `eid and make him happy on that day as well.

Question: What is the ruling concerning a person whose blood was drawn while fasting in Ramadhaan, for the purpose of tests, from his right hand and its quantity is a medium syringe?

It is reported from Sahl bin Abdullaah (rh) that he said: There is nothing which is tougher upon the soul than (achieving) Ikhlaas. How many times have I tried to remove riyaa' from my heart except that it sprouted in a different colour (i.e. in a different form).

And serve Allah . Ascribe no thing as partner unto Him . ( Show ) kindness unto parents , and unto near kindred , and orphans , and the needy , and into the neighbor who is of kin ( unto you ) and the neighbor who is not of kin and the fellow traveller and the wayfarer and ( the slaves ) whom your right hands possess . Lo! Allah loveth not such as are proud and boastful ,
